The Town of James Island will hold the following meetings this week:

Thursday, June 15 @ 7:00 p.m. The Town will hold two public hearings: first is an amendment to the Town's Zoning and Land Development Regulations (ZLDR) to add a new section on a temporary moratorium; second is a proposed change to the ZLDR to add setbacks for accessory structures in commercially zoned districts. These hearings will be held in conjunction with the regular Town Council meeting. Meeting packet is here.
Saturday, June 17 2-4 p.m. Poetry Writing Workshop with Dr. Kendra Hamilton, free to the public. Workshop will be at Town Hall.
Sunday, June 18 2-4 p.m. Dr. Kendra Hamilton, Cave Canem Poetry Fellow and Author at McLeod Plantation. Free to first 50 who come for poetry; thereafter $15 at gate.
