Please join us for National Night Out. Help build a stronger, safer community by giving crime a going away party. Come out and see the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, K-9 unit, PSD Fire Department, and lots more. August 1, from 6-8 pm. in the parking lot at Town Hall, 1238-B Camp Road.

*History Commission meeting rescheduled for Tuesday, August 8 at 6:00 p.m.*

Community Assistance Grant Program, 2017-2018 

The Town of James Island is inviting local non-profits to apply for Community Assistance funding. The Town seeks to support organizations that provide beneficial services: (education, health/human services, community development, environment, or public safety) for the James Island community as a whole.

Applications are now available for fiscal year 2017/2018. The deadline to apply is October 5. Applicants are invited to the Town Council October 19 meeting to present their requests. Awards will be made at the November 16 Town Council meeting. Grant award ranges between $500 and $2,000.

NO MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR WEEK OF JULY 24 

No meetings of the Town of James Island will be held the week of July 24. The James Island Neighborhood Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 27 has been cancelled.

Town Held Groundbreaking Ceremony 

The Town of James Island held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Town Hall on Tuesday, July 18. Special thanks to Representative Peter McCoy, Senator Sandy Senn, Liollio Architecture, Mayor/Council and staff who participated in breaking ground. Completion of construction is estimated in early 2018.
