NEWS RELEASE – TOWN OF JAMES ISLAND HURRICANE FLORENCE

SEPTEMBER 7, 2018

The Town of James Island is closely monitoring Hurricane Florence and plans to move to OPCON 4 at 2:00 p.m. today.

 

There is uncertainty if Florence will affect our coast; however, it is strongly encouraged if you have not already done so to take professional and personal actions to ensure that you are prepared to respond to any impacts. If Florence does impact our coast, an evacuation order could be issued as early as Monday morning. Below is a list of emergency contact numbers.
