On Thursday, April 22, 2026, the Town of James Island held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its new Art and Community Center. The 10,000 square foot Center will be located at 1129 Hillman Street and is expected to be complete by April of 2027. The Town Council, Town staff, members of the design / build team, and many members of the community were on hand to celebrate the groundbreaking.
