The James Island History Council meeting is rescheduled for Tuesday, December 8 at 6:00 p.m. Information on meeting platform and agenda forthcoming. Please join us as we celebrate the Christmas season. The Town of James Island will host a drive through Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 3, from 6-8 p.m. at the Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road. Due to a Water Main break on Dills Bluff Road (near Camp) Charleston Water System will have water turned off in the vicinity for a few hours this afternoon. For questions, please contact, Charleston Water System (CWS) (843) 727-6800.
There are no meetings for the week of Nov. 23 rd. Town Offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Yorktown Drive at Camp Road will be closed to traffic tomorrow morning (November 18) to finish a water main connection as part of the new Camp Road Middle School Project. Work should be completed around mid-day. Please use caution when traveling through the area and plan alternate routes if necessary. Thank you for your patience.

The Remembrance Day at historic Fort Johnson for Nov. 15, 2020 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.
Beginning Friday, November 13 @ 7:00 p.m. through Monday, November 16, Dills Bluff Road from Brighton Court to Midvale Avenue will be closed to traffic in both directions.
