The James Island CERT and Lowes will sponsor the 8th Annual Hurricane Expo on Saturday, May 9th at the Lowes on James Island from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to help set up at 7:00 a.m. and man the booth from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Other volunteers are needed to man the booth from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and then help take down the "pop-up" tents.
Come out and bring the family. There will be face painting for kids, the James Island Outreach will be accepting non-perishable food items, the Fire Department, Smokehouse, and Johns Island Fire Department will be on site to teach fire extinguisher operation, and other civic and governmental organizations will be present to answer "disaster" questions.
