The Town of James Island officially broke ground on the new Brantley Park.
This 1/2 acre pocket park is located at the corner of Folly and Brantley Rd. and was purchased with the City of Charleston utilizing Charleston County Greenbelt Program funds.
"This park is a great step forward in our joint efforts to reimagine Folly Road to a more walkable and green corridor, as well as our efforts to improve and protect the water quality of James Island Creek" said Mayor Woolsey. Mayor Woolsey is the Chairman of the ReThink Folly Road Complete Streets Initiative and Vice Chairman of the James Island Creek Water Quality Taskforce. These are both collaborative efforts between the Town, City, County and other participating agencies and entities.
