Countdown to Thanksgiving: Town of James Island Seeking Donations for Third Annual Meals Drive
Community asked to drop off items by Nov. 20

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the Town of James Island is reminding residents that the window for donating to the Third Annual Thanksgiving Meals Drive is fast approaching.
Community members are encouraged to drop off food donations by Thursday, November 20, helping ensure full holiday meals reach local families in need. The list of requested food items is included below.
Last year’s effort provided complete Thanksgiving dinners to 45 families, thanks to generous James Island neighbors, volunteers, and community partners. Organizers hope to serve at least 50 families this year. Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies will once again assist with deliveries, helping meals reach households safely and on time.
“We’re grateful for the community’s support year after year,” said Town Councilwoman Cynthia Mignano, who leads the annual drive. “A single donation can make a real difference for a family hoping to enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal.”
