Tuesday, August 2nd from 6 to 8 – National Night Out
Come out to celebrate National Night Out with the Town of James Island and the Island Sheriff's Patrol! The SWAT team, K-9 unit, Motorcycle unit, Forensics unit, etc. will be on hand to let you see their equipment and tools up close and personal. The Town's Neighborhood Council representatives will be here to meet and greet the members of the community and help address any of your neighborhood safety concerns. FREE KOANA ICE! The History Council meeting for August has been canceled and will meet again on Sept. 7th at 6 pm.
Friday, August 6th from 6 to 9 pm – The Town Market

Calling all volunteers! The Helping Hands group needs your help in assisting elderly and/or disabled residents with maintaining their yards. Please meet at 9 am at Pinckney Park, 461 Fort Johnson Rd.

The Charleston area is expecting anywhere from 4 to 8 inches over the week with higher amounts possible in certain areas, including on James Island. Please report ponding on roads or backed up drainage conveyances to the Town – the Town has an online work order request form that can be found here. High tides this week are around the afternoon rush hour so expect slower drainage during these times.
