Mill Point Family Park Grand Opening Scheduled for April 2
Please join James Island Mayor Brook Lyon, members of Town Council and community speakers for the grand opening of Mill Point Family Park on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 3 p.m. at 1259 Mill Point Road.
The new park sits on six acres of waterfront property the Town purchased last year using a combination of Charleston County greenbelt funds and local hospitality tax revenue. The town is currently working with residents to shape future improvements and amenities.
“Mill Point Family Park is going to be a wonderful new addition to our community,” Mayor Lyon said. “We’re thrilled to preserve this beautiful waterfront property for the public and excited to keep working with residents on what comes next.”
Light refreshments will be served.
