Notice of Public Hearing

 

The James Island Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on the below ZLDR amendments on Thursday May 18th, 2023 at 7:00pm at Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road, James Island, SC (843) 795-4141. Emailed comments to kcrane@jamesislandsc.us should be received by noon on Thursday, May 18th.The meeting will also be livestreamed to the Town’s YouTube channel. Copies of the proposed amendments are available for the public to review Monday-Friday during normal business hours before the hearing.

Proposed amendments include changes to accessory structure and driveway setbacks, and changes to merge Bed & Breakfasts term with Short-Term Rentals term, to further define, and to clarify these regulations.

The following case will be heard by the Town of James Island Board of Zoning Appeals at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday May 16th, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road, James Island, SC 29412.  This hearing is open to the public. Inquiries should be directed to the Zoning/Planning Department (843-795-4141) referencing the case number. Please email comments to kcrane@jamesislandsc.us; Emailed comments should be received by 12:00 noon on May 16th and must include name and address for the record. The full meeting packet will be available on the Town’s website at jamesislandsc.us and at Town Hall during regular business hours before the hearing.
