The Town of James Island is pleased to announce the purchase of Pinckney Park, a beautiful 7 acre site located at 461 Fort Johnson Road. Pinckney Park was purchased with Greenbelt Funds and offers a great view of the marsh with majestic trees and easy access. Please plan to drop by Pinckney Park for an Open House on Sunday, August 23rd between 1-5 p.m. You will have a chance to tour the park so please wear appropriate shoes.
Following the Open House, the Town is hosting a public workshop on Thursday, August 27 at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall. This workshop will be a chance to receive community input and involvement on what our residents would like to see at the park. This information will help the Town select the most qualified firm to help design and implement an overall plan for Pinckney Park. We look forward to you joining us.
