The Town of James Island participated in a Tri-County Conference call this morning at 9:00 a.m. with Charleston County.
The Town is closely monitoring the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and its potential impact on our region. While there are no confirmed cases of the coronavirus in South Carolina, now is the time to prepare – not panic.
Here are some key considerations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC)
- Good handwashing (soap and water for at least 20 seconds)
- Cover your cough and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Use tissue and hand sanitizer regularly
- Stay at home if you or a family member is sick
- Sanitize commonly touched surfaces and objects regularly
- Check the CDC's Traveler's Health Notices before making any international travel
