The Town of James Island will be hosting a Public Workshop sponsored by the South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 6:00 pm. at the Town Hall, 1238-B Camp Road, James Island. SCE&G will be pruning trees in James Island this spring as a part of the Company's 5-year cycle to maintain public safety and electric system reliability. Representatives from the South Carolina Forestry Commission and Lewis Tree Service (the contractor) will be present. Oversized maps marking the streets where trimming is planned will also be displayed. The public is invited.
