The Community Hero Award allows the Town of James Island to acknowledge and thank volunteers who have given significant time, talent and energy to our community over the course of at least one year's time. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of volunteer activity in the areas of:
- Leadership
- Community Service
- Mobilizing the generations by contributing to youth and adults working together in partnership within the community.
The Community Hero Award period runs from January 1 through December 31. Nominations may be submitted anytime throughout the year.
