NEWS RELEASE -- Town Moves to OPCON 4 in Preparation of Tropical Depression

RELEASE #1 - August 28, 2017

Following Charleston County's move to OPCON 4 at 1 p.m. today, the Town of James Island is currently operating at OPCON 4 in preparation for the Tri-county Tropical Depression. We will continue to monitor and provide updates as they become available. No operational changes are being made at this point; we are only on heightened alert in case the weather event worsens. Citizens are asked to be on heightened alert as well.
