Seeking Old School Photos of James Island Schools

Randy Hilyer is looking to gather photos of any island schools over the years, especially the older ones that no longer exist.  Residents are asked to take a picture of a picture or share a digital copy with Randy at :

randall_hilyer.c@charleston.k12.sc.us

School possibilities include: old James Island High (Camp Road), original Fort Johnson High, WG Meggett, Harborview as a Middle School, Baxter-Patrick Elementary, Creighton-Frampton Elementary, the combined James Island High on Ft. Johnson Road over the years as the construction occurred, Riverland Terrace Elementary, Murray-Lasaine, James Island Middle, etc..

There are some black and whites of the segregated schools, but would love to see more if they exist (Three Trees, Sol Legare, Cut Bridge, Society Hill).

Eventually there will be some form of a permanent display at the school with some of the photos as a record of the development and history of James Island Charter.

Thank you so much, and let me know what you hear from the sites about Sea Island cotton seeds.
