The Town of James Island will hold its annual Holiday & Tree Lighting Market on Friday, Dec. 12, from 6–9 p.m. at Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road. At 7 p.m., Mayor Brook Lyon will lead the annual Tree Lighting ceremony at the center of the market.
This year’s market will include nearly 50 local craft vendors and small businesses, along with seven local food and dessert trucks, children’s holiday crafts, a petting zoo, and live entertainment throughout the evening.
Families can enjoy ornament painting and Christmas card making, meet animals in a petting zoo with pony rides, and look forward to a special visit from Santa and his elves.
The evening will also include performances by:
- A live steel drum musician
- Palmetto Choral Collective
- James Island Charter High School Jazz Band
- Camp Road Middle School Step Dance Team
- Heart Beatz Dance Academy
