The Town of James Island Council is pleased to announce Victor L. Crouch as Poet Laureate for the Town of James Island. As the Poet Laureate, Mr. Crouch will represent the Town at cultural affairs by sharing his new and renowned poetry.
Mr. Crouch served in this capacity in the Town in 2025-2026 by sharing his vast knowledge and love of poetry. We are excited about Mr. Crouch's experience in working with young and old alike; not only in reading poetry, but also in writing and literacy.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the Town to expand its literacy efforts through the art of poetry.
