PUBLIC HEARING
The James Island Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on the below Ordinance amendments on Thursday April 30, 2026 at 7:00pm at Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road, James Island, SC (843) 795-4141. Emailed comments to fsimmons@jamesislandsc.us should be received by noon on Thursday April 29th and should include name and address. The meeting packet and link to livestream of the meeting will be available on the Town’s website at jamesislandsc.us and at Town Hall during regular business hours before the meeting.
Proposed amendments include changes to allow for variances and appeals of administrative decisions concerning the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance and the Town Building Regulations Ordinance to be heard by the Board of Zoning Appeals, along with additional edits and clarifications to Town Regulations Concerning Flood Damage Prevention and Town Building Regulations.
