As of May 1, 2026, NEW building permits and inspections will be handled by the Town of James Island through SAFEbuilt. All projects in progress will continue with Charleston County Building Services.

Yorktown Drive Closed Until 2 p.m. today

In order to complete some utility work associated with the new Camp Road Middle School, Yorktown Drive will be closed at Camp Road until approximately 2 p.m. today.
